Getting more comfortable asking questions, responding, explaining, giving your opinion, and more are all part of level 3: conversation. This level is where the ‘doing’ of the language really comes into play. You’ll be able to hold conversations on almost any topic and will start to improve your vocabulary in a natural way. In this course, you will be asked to prepare a pre-specified text at home, then come to class with words, phrases, and concepts you are not familiar with. Each class will begin with a review of this text and your questions as a way to start a natural conversation about the article’s broader themes. This allows for each lesson to flow and adapt to the unique needs of the small class size. This course is on level A2-B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF or CEFR).
With a title like “conversation”, this class will certainly focus on your ability to have a typical conversation on any topic in Dutch. We will also dig deeper into your reading and writing skills, taking a look at real-life examples from various newspapers, magazines, films, and more. The online academy will help reinforce these concepts through more traditional grammar exercises.
